“To us as mothers, Jack and Jill has become a means of furthering an inherent and natural desire …to bestow upon our children all the opportunities possible for a normal and graceful approach to a beautiful adulthood.”

Family Involvement
Mothers
-
Mothers serve as the official members of Jack and Jill and are responsible for ensuring their children are actively involved and engaged in the organization. Mothers are central to all Jack and Jill activities, planning and chaperoning events, being role models, mentors, and supporting community service intiatives and fundraising for the Jack and Jill of America Foundation.
Fathers
-
Fathers play an vital role in both the growth and emotional well-being of their children and in the Jack and Jill family. Although a Father’s participation is voluntary, those Dads with an interest participate through the local chapter’s Father’s Auxiliary. Fathers are role models and provide assistance in the areas of leadership development, financial literacy workshops, career exploration, mentoring support, and chaperoning children and teen activities.
Children
-
Children are the heartbeat of our organization as they eagerly forge new friendships and learn while engaging in Jack and Jill activities emphasizing cultural, social, educational, and civic activities that lay the foundation for their future success as leaders.
Teens
-
Teens interact in a self-governing environment strategically aligned with the mothers’ program, aimed to develop and nurture leadership skills. Additionally, teens are encouraged to hold elected offices, chair committees, and further develop their understanding of the value of community service. For over 65 years, Jack and Jill teens have convened at Teen Leadership Conferences around the country. Teens participate in plenary sessions, leadership development workshops, oratorical competitions, community service activities, and rites of passage ceremonies for our graduating teens.
